  • 1 1/2 cups Plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon Butter melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 4 numbers Cardamom
  • Oil for deep frying

  • 1 1/2 cups Plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon Butter melted
  • 1/4 teaspoon Salt
  • 1/2 - 3/4 cup Water
  • 1/4 cup Sugar
  • 4 numbers Cardamom
  • Oil for deep frying
Instructions
  1. Mix the flour and salt. Add melted butter and mix well with your hand. Sprinkle water little by little to make a soft dough. Set aside for half an hour.
  2. Powder sugar and cardamom to a fine powder and set it aside.
  3. Knead the dough again and divide it into small balls and roll each balls into thin sheets. Using a knife or cutter cut into diamond shapes.
  4. Heat oil in a pan, gently place the diamond cuts into the oil. Cook in medium flame. Keep stirring and turn over for even cooking. Fry till golden brown and drain on paper towels to absorb excess oil.
  5. Add powdered sugar and cardamom mixture and toss gently to coat everything evenly. Store in an airtight container.
  6. One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, one teaspoon = 5 ml.
