Peas Pulao is an easy one-pot dish made with basmati rice, green peas, and spices. This pulao tastes great with any vegetarian and nonvegetarian curries.

Ingredients
- 2 cups Basmati rice
- 4 cups Boiling water
- 2 cups Green peas fresh or frozen
- 1 cup Onion chopped
- 1 number Green chilli finely chopped
- 1 teaspoon Ginger crushed
- 1 teaspoon Garlic crushed
- 6 numbers Clove
- 4 number Cardamom
- 2 small pieces Cinnamon
- 1 number Bay leaf
- 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
- 1 teaspoon Lime juice
- Salt to taste
- 3 tablespoons Ghee
For Garnishing
- 1/4 cup Cashew nuts
- 1 tablespoon Ghee

Instructions
- Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside.
- Heat ghee in a large pan and add clove, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, and cumin seeds.
- Add onion and saute until it becomes golden. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilli and saute for a few minutes until the raw smell goes.
- Add green peas and drained rice, saute for 5 minutes on medium heat.
- Add boiling water, lime juice, and salt, and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame until the water is dried completely and the rice is cooked.
- Garnish with fried cashew nuts. Serve with any veg or non veg curry of your choice.
- NOTE - One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, and one teaspoon = 5 ml.
- I used nature's gift khushboo basmati rice in this recipe.
