Mashed potatoes are the most loved side dish. And it only requires a few basic ingredients.

- 500 grams Potato (3 cups)
- 3 tablespoons Butter softened
- 1/4 - 1/3 cup Warm whole milk
- Fresh parsley leaves to garnish (optional)
- Pepper powder as required
- Salt to taste

Instructions
- Peel and cut the potatoes into small cubes. Then transfer them into a large pot full of cold water. Add salt, mix well and boil until the potatoes are done.
- Drain well and mash the potatoes with a potato masher or ricer.
- Add butter and mix well. Then add the milk and mix until everything combined. Season the potato mixture with salt and pepper.
- Serve warm, garnished with fresh parsley leaves.
- NOTE - Choose starchy potatoes like Russets or Yukon Golds for this recipe.
- One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml.
