Ingredients
3cupsOnionthinly sliced
1 1/2teaspoonsGingerchopped
3numbersGreen chillichopped
2sprigs Curry leaveschopped
1/3cupsBesan(gram flour)
2tablespoonsRice flourroasted
1/2teaspoonChilli powder
1/8teaspoonAsafoetida powder
1/2teaspoonSalt

Instructions
In a mixing bowl, add sliced onion, ginger, green chilli, curry leaves, and salt. Mix well with your hand and keep aside for 10 minutes.
In another bowl, mix the gram flour, rice flour, chilli powder, and asafoetida powder.
Add the flour mixture to the onion mixture and mix well. Do not add any water as the moisture in the onion mixture is enough to coat everything together.
Heat oil in a deep pan. Take 1 1/2 tablespoons of batter in your hand, flatten slightly with your thumb and gently add to the hot oil. Fry both sides on medium heat until golden brown.
Transfer to a paper towel to drain excess oil. Serve hot with tea or coffee.
NOTE – One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, one teaspoon = 5 ml.
