Tomato Fry
Tomato fry is a restaurant-style tomato roast made with tomatoes and onion. This is one of the easiest tomato roasts that taste best when served with chapati, poori, rice, etc. If you do not want to cook something elaborate, try this tomato fry as it takes only less than 15 minutes.

Ingredients
  • 2cups Tomatosliced
  • 2cups Onionsliced
  • 1tablespoons Garlicchopped
  • 2numbers Green chillisliced
  • 1 1/2teaspoons Kashmiri chili powder
  • 1/4teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • 1 1/2tablespoons Tomato sauce
  • 3/4teaspoon Mustard seed
  • 2Springs Curry leaves
  • Saltto taste
  • 2tablespoons Oil
Instructions
  1. Heat oil in a large pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add onion, garlic, green chilli, and curry leaves, saute until the onion becomes golden.
  2. Add Kashmiri chilli powder and turmeric powder along with a few teaspoons of water, saute until the raw smell goes.
  3. Add sliced tomatoes and tomato sauce, mix well. Add 2 tablespoons of water, cover and cook for 5 minutes or until the tomatoes turn soft.
  4. Serve hot with chapati, poori, rice, etc.
  5. NOTE – One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, one teaspoon = 5 ml.
