Ingredients
For Cooking Rice
  • 1 1/2cups Basmati rice
  • 8cups Water
  • 1 1/2teaspoons Vegetable oil
  • 3/4teaspoon Salt
Other Ingredients
  • 1tablespoon Garlicchopped
  • 1/4cup Celerychopped
  • 1/2cup Onionchopped
  • 1/2cup Carrotchopped
  • 1/2cup Beanschopped
  • 1/2cup Capsicumchopped
  • 1 1/2tablespoons Soy sauce
  • 1tablespoon Chilli sauce
  • 1/2teaspoon Vinegar
  • 1 1/2numbers Knorr chicken cube(15 grams)
  • 1/2teaspoon Pepper powder
  • 1/4teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 1/2tablespoons Vegetable oil
For garnishing
  • 1/4cup Spring onionchopped
Instructions
  1. Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside.
  2. Combine water, oil, and salt in a saucepan and bring to boil. Add rice and cook until 98% done. Drain the water completely and set aside to cool.
  3. Heat oil in a large pan. Add garlic and saute until the garlic starts to turn golden. Add all the vegetables including onion and celery, saute it for a minute on high flame.
  4. Reduce the flame and add sauces, vinegar, and chicken cube, mix well. Now add the cooked rice, pepper powder, and sugar. Mix well on high flame until combined.
  5. Turn off heat and garnish with spring onion.
  6. Serve with chilli chicken, gopi manchurian, etc.
  7. NOTE – Prepare all the ingredients before you start cooking.
  8. Cool the rice completely before adding it to the pan.
  9. No need to add any extra salt as the sauces and chicken cubes are extremely salty. Give the fried rice a taste and add salt if needed.
  10. One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, one teaspoon = 5 ml.
