Peas Pulao is an easy one-pot dish made with basmati rice, green peas, and spices. This pulao tastes great with any vegetarian and nonvegetarian curries.

Ingredients
2cupsBasmati rice
4cupsBoiling water
2cupsGreen peasfresh or frozen
1cupOnionchopped
1number Green chillifinely chopped
1teaspoon Gingercrushed
1teaspoonGarliccrushed
6numbersClove
4numberCardamom
2 small pieces Cinnamon
1numberBay leaf
1teaspoon Cumin seeds
1teaspoon Lime juice
Saltto taste
3tablespoons Ghee
For Garnishing
1/4cupCashew nuts
1tablespoonGhee
Instructions
Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep it aside.
Heat ghee in a large pan and add clove, cardamom, cinnamon, bay leaf, and cumin seeds.
Add onion and saute until it becomes golden. Add ginger, garlic, and green chilli and saute for a few minutes until the raw smell goes.
Add green peas and drained rice, saute for 5 minutes on medium heat.
Add boiling water, lime juice, and salt, and mix well. Cover and cook on low flame until the water is dried completely and the rice is cooked.
Garnish with fried cashew nuts. Serve with any veg or non veg curry of your choice.
NOTE – One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, and one teaspoon = 5 ml.
I used nature’s gift khushboo basmati rice in this recipe.
