  • 125 grams Butter softened
  • 150 gram Caster sugar
  • 50 grams Brown sugar
  • 140 grams Smooth peanut butter
  • 1 number Egg
  • 185 grams Plain flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda

Peanut butter cookies
Instructions
  1. Preheat oven at 160ยฐC for 10 minutes.
  2. Mix together plain flour, baking powder, and baking soda, sift it and keep aside.
  3. Beat butter, caster sugar, brown sugar, and peanut butter in a bowl with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Add egg and beat until combined.
  4. Stir in sifted flour mixture. Roll level tablespoons of mixture into balls. Place about 5 cm apart on a baking paper-lined oven tray. Flatten the balls slightly with a fork in a crisscross pattern.
  5. Bake about 17 minutes or until lightly browned. Stand cookies on trays for 5 minutes before lifting onto a wire rack to cool. Store in an airtight container.
  6. NOTE - If the dough is too soft, refrigerate it for about 10 minutes.
  7. I used Jif creamy peanut butter in this recipe
  8. One teaspoon - 5 ml
