Ingredients
2cupsKaima rice
3 1/2cupsBoiling water
2numbersCinnamon pieces
4numbersCardamom
6numbersClove
1numberBay leaf
2tablespoonsGhee
1/2teaspoonLime juice
Saltto taste
For Garnishing
1cupOnionsliced
1/4cupCashew nuts
2tablespoonsGhee
Oilfor deep frying onion
Instructions
Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
Heat ghee in a pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf, and rice. Stir for 5 minutes.
Add boiling water, salt, and lime juice. Cover and cook on low flame till the water is dried completely and the rice is cooked. Separate the cooked rice with a fork.
Garnish with fried onion and roasted cashew nuts. Serve with any veg or nonveg curry of your choice.
NOTE – One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, one teaspoon = 5 ml.
