  • 2 cups Kaima rice
  • 3 1/2 cups Boiling water
  • 2 numbers Cinnamon pieces
  • 4 numbers Cardamom
  • 6 numbers Clove
  • 1 number Bay leaf
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1/2 teaspoon Lime juice
  • Salt to taste
For Garnishing
  • 1 cup Onion sliced
  • 1/4 cup Cashew nuts
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • Oil for deep frying onion

  • 1/2 teaspoon Lime juice
  • Salt to taste

  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • Oil for deep frying onion
Ghee rice
Instructions
  1. Wash and soak the rice for 15 minutes. Drain the water and keep aside.
  2. Heat ghee in a pan and add cinnamon, cardamom, clove, bay leaf, and rice. Stir for 5 minutes.
  3. Add boiling water, salt, and lime juice. Cover and cook on low flame till the water is dried completely and the rice is cooked. Separate the cooked rice with a fork.
  4. Garnish with fried onion and roasted cashew nuts. Serve with any veg or nonveg curry of your choice.
  5. NOTE - One cup = 250 ml, one tablespoon = 15 ml, one teaspoon = 5 ml.
